因为报销自付医疗费用的申请需要提交重要文件和对重要文件的审核，以确定所声称的医疗费用与您的符合资格的疾病相关，而且您本人自付了这些费用。处理这些索赔需要时间，而且可能推迟您获得赔偿的时间。因此，VCF建立了关于何时以及如何提交医疗费用申请的具体标准。

Una vez presentado el reclamo, el primer paso que el Fondo de Compensación para Víctimas (Victim Compensation Fund, VCF) toma es hacer una revisión preliminar para confirmar que todos los documentos "mínimos requeridos" se hayan entregado. En adición al requisito de completar el Formulario de Reclamo, también le requerimos los siguientes documentos para que su reclamo pueda progresar a una revisión más sustancial:

Yes. You can request reimbursement for past out-of-pocket medical expenses you paid as a result of your eligible condition(s) if they were paid before the date that the WTC Health Program certified your condition(s). The VCF will not reimburse for expenses you incur after your condition was certified if you decide to have your conditions treated by a non-WTC Health Program physician, or to have your prescriptions filled by an unaffiliated pharmacy.
