A message from Special Master, Sheila Birnbaum

I am pleased to announce the appointment of Patricia G. Houser as the Fund’s Director of Operations.

Pat’s background in mass tort claims management includes the start-up administration of the Manville Personal Injury Settlement Trust, the first and one of the largest mass tort trusts in the country. She quickly became the Trust’s Executive Director, and ultimately served as President of the Claims Resolution Management Corporation, the claims processing unit formed by the Manville Trust to handle claims from multiple mass tort trusts. Pat has previously served as a consultant to the VCF, helping the Fund work through various system and process design issues.
