2.2 What is registration? How do I register with the VCF and what is my registration deadline?

Registration is the first step in the claim filing process and it simply preserves your right to file a claim in the future.  You do not waive any legal rights when you register, and registering does not obligate you to file a claim.  Registration serves only to alert the VCF that you may be a potential claimant; and it meets the legal requirement of timeliness set forth in the law.  Registration Deadlines vary based on claim type and individual circumstances.

Registrase es el primer paso en el proceso de presentar un reclamo y lo que hace es que le reserva el derecho a presentar un reclamo en el futuro. Usted no renuncia a ningún derecho legal cuando usted se registra, y el registrase no le obliga a presentar un reclamo en el futuro. El registrase únicamente sirve para alertar al VCF de que usted puede ser un potencial reclamante; y así se cumplen los requisitos legales de fechas límites que establece la ley. Los Plazos para Registrarse varían a base de sus circunstancias individuales.

Rejestracja to pierwszy etap złożenia wniosku i po prostu zachowuje Państwa prawo do złożenia wniosku w przyszłości. Podczas rejestracji nie zrzekają się Państwo żadnych praw i rejestracja nie obliguje do złożenia wniosku.  Rejestracja tylko powiadamia Fundusz VCF, że mogą być Państwo potencjalnymi wnioskodawcami i umożliwia spełnienie prawnego wymogu terminowości określonego w prawie. Terminy Rejestracji są różne w zależności od okoliczności indywidualnych.
